I have a 98 Civic EX 2-door Coupe. I'm thinking about doing this swap. I'm looking for any info on the swap. Any suggestions/comments are appreciated. Thanks!

Also, are these specs correct?

OBD2 B16a SIR2 (1996+)
• 1600cc (1.6L) DOHC Vtec engine.
• 168hp @ 7800 rpm
• 116 ft-lbs @ 7300 rpm
• 10.4 compression ratio.

 

Any reason to not just do a B18C1 swap? I mean, if you were goin to swap, you might as well swap to a larger engine.

 

yeah but iam not totally sure but i think the jdm motors are all obd1 still.

i had to go the b16 route too. which is going to work out better cause its a better motor for turbo muhahaha
