totalled... gaurenteed... my girlfriends car was about that bad, but only on the passenger side... she had a 98 LX sedan...
I owe about 8g on the car.. I had custom install in the trun do I get any compensation for the labor and one of the amps was crushed....

What can I do to get them most out of my car so I can afford a new one if it is totalled...I hope not ....At least if they fix it I can sell and get a new one...
First accident and I really do not know what to do
AND IT WAS NOT MY DAMN FAult. I fel I am going toget screwed

damn dood that F*ing blows... your car really IMO does not look fixable at all.. what kind of insurance did you have, maybe un-insured motorist.. who is your insurance agency?
I don't think you can get money back on labor into the car, but the equipment you can. My insurance will only pay out $1k in modifications for the base insurance, and only cover more if you pay for it.
You must show receipts otherwise you get nothing if they total it out. You can strip just about anything you want off the car.
Yes, I think the car will be totaled. My ex-wife was in a hit-and-run accident where she was hit behind the right rear wheel. Only trunk damage. The KBB value was $7500 and they totaled it out with an estimate of $5k to fix it. Considering it was a crappy Geo Prism, I gladly took the money! That car was paid off.

Pretty sure your car is a write-off - the wrinkles near the roof is gonna do it in. No telling if there is frame damage too and/or how severe it is. As for your audio gear, find those receipts! The pics will help but receipts is how they're gonna determine replacement value.
I have state farm insurance. The claim rep is coming tom....they said I could of just gone to body shop for estiamte...But I said the stuff about the trunk..and I think they automatically think I am trying to rip them off..I invested a lot of money in there....and if they are going to be picky it will probably all be lost.
They said audio equipment is covered under my dads house insurance...w/ 500 deductible...I will have to search for receipts i doubt I will find them. The insurance said I still claim the amps under there claim when they try and get their payment from the guy who hit me...I am sure they will get a lot from him..i highly doubt he even had a job. The labor for install will probably be lost , which would be a lot to try and get redone. this sucks.

Based on the looks of it, the damge looks like it is more than what the car is worth and if thats the case the insurance total the car out and give u the money for the value of the car BUT since you owe money on the car, it is then up to the lien holder to decide whether they want it fixed or paid off. If they want the car to be paid off (they most likeley will), you will be responsible for any money left over (if you owe more than what the car is worth) , unless you signed up for gap insurance when you selected your policy.....does that all make sense? Car wrecks are a bitch, especially when its not your fault. My baby was totaled and I had about $8g's put into it.....

It's 100% totalled, you need recipts for the audio equipment and take everything you want back off or out of the car before they haul it away. **** buying it back: after they tell you it's totalled and that they'll pick it up on Wednesday, spend the next 48 hours pulling seats, interior, lights, engine, engine mods, sound equipment, exhaust (if not damaged), suspension and interior out of it. ****, if they think it's totalled, which they will, only give them a totalled car and nothing more
.
And yes, it's totalled. You can't repair the rear fender area and the integrity of the subframe in the back is severely compromised. Enjoy your money and don't invest in custom installations of sound equipment anymore: paying for a pretty trunk is gay.

I agree, you need to gather those receipts ASAP, go to where ever distributor you got your sound equipment from, they should have kept a copy of the transaction and installion. Damn it was a nice setup too
Not to sound stupid...But can I really take the factory parts off if they take the car...or is there anything I can other than personals
thing is, if your car is appraised with the system etc in it... the insurance co will usually make you keep it in the car.
those receipts will mean jack ****. When you pay for insurance you pay to insure the CAR, not all the crap attached. Some will compensate for a little bit, but most wont at all.
Buying the car back is usually only like 250 or 500 bucks, buy it back and part that puppy out. Take your $8400+ part money and get a nice car

I do appreciate your help. At least I know what to expect from the claims hopefully he is at least a decent guy...I know he is ther e to save the insur. comp money..so he will give mw a quote that is a low as possible.
