Default Kirkey Seat for Auto-X

I've been looking at a racing seat for my 02 Si for auto-x and the Kirkey 10° Layback (39700) is going for <$120 plus cover at Jegs.

Anyone have a bad/good experience with them? Where in SoCal would be a good place to get it mounted to my car?

Its driver preference. I personally can't drive in them. The weird side bolters get in my way with my driving style. Some people love them though. Definately can't beat the cost though.

I love kirkeys. I'm not all elbows when I drive though, some people are.

You gotta buy a $80 cover for it to be STS legal. And at that point, you can pick up much, much better Sparcos for a little more than $200. Also, I'd look at Corbeau waaaay before a kirkey.

I personally would not run a kirkey if even given to me, but that's just my opinion.

My Forza is a lot more comfortable but not more supportive and not lighter. I'd never use a Kirkey on a car that's on the street, too hard to get in and out of and too hard in general.

I have a Kirkey styled seat, I love it it holds you in place VERY well and the rib supports are in the right spot for me.

Personally, I'd spend a touch more money and get the intermediate road seat for the shoulder supports.

I have the deluxe road seat and it just wraps you and holds you in place well.
