MY BIG PROBLEM..... can anyone help?
ok, so i was aligning my new cf hood... got it aligned, and closed it, my problem is i went back to open it again and the cable came loose and disconnected inside the latch... i dont know of anyway to get inside, do you?
find out where it unhooked at and if it unhooked in the car just pull it, if u can't do that jack the car up and unhook the latch from underneath it might be tight but that seems the easiest.
on my 92 i did the same thing.... i dont have AC or any of that stuff, so i was about to go under the car, and yank on the cable to pop the hood.
yes, it came loose, but the retainer is still ON the latch... its not that hard to do, unless there is a mess of stuff in the way
Loosen your front bumper at the fenders and under the splash guards, get a big screwdriver and fiddle with the latch from underneath until you open it. Once you do, get a new hood cable.
EDIT: it has happened to me before and this is how I solved my problem.

What he said. I had the same problem. I took a long pry bar/breaker bar, and unlcatched it from underneath.

pushing it in will do nothing but wiggle the cable around. and pulling it wouldnt have dont anything either because the assembly under the hook was loose.
