Default Opinions and or Alternatives to Hondata 3 step

I am going to be getting the Hondata s200 system pretty soon...I am also debating whether or not to get the 3 step....It sounds like the 3 step would be pretty nice to have, especially the launch control...But, I am concerned how the launch control uses a fuel cut instead of ignition cut, and running a high compression motor (12.6:1) a fuel cut could be dangerous...I am also not to sure about the full throttle shift and daily driving, and now i am hearing about play in the clutch peddle with the micro switch...Please post your opinions and experience with the hondata three step and or the alternatives out there...Thanks in advance

Hondata 3 Step Rev Limiter so far has been a semi-pain in the behind.

The launch control works fine. It holds the revs, and the launches are great. But as far as the full-throttle shift, the clutch switch is really sensitive. If you don't let out your foot off the clutch all the way, it'll sometimes limit your revs.

Example:

1st Gear, 3000RPM launch up until 8200RPM Redline (on a B16A Motor for Example)

Push Clutch In, Hondata brings revs down to 6500RPM.
Shift to 2nd Gear and Let Clutch Go, and your tires chirp, and lets say you're at 6200RPM in 2nd gear.

All of a sudden it accelerates you to 6500RPM and then bogs, only because you realized you didn't let go of the clutch pedal all the way.

OUCH Soldier! You just lost your race right there.

So you can adjust the switch the way you like it, but it's hard to find a perfect spot.

the fuel cutoff should not cause to many problems because the car is not under load therefore you will not detonate. HOWEVER its still not a very good thing. For the price you would be much better off getting an aftermarket piece. I think hondata wants $125 or some rediculous amount for their 3-step it dosnt cost them a red cent to include it with the s200 You are much better off just buying an aftermarket unit. That cuts the ignition.

Every car has full throttle launch and full throttle shift... it's called the rev limiter.
