Is it bad if I accidentally hit the cut-off point twice after 8000RPM...on first gear....?

 

if the car is broken in then i guess its ok.. that's what the rev limiter is there for...

 

hey man, i have taken my rsx-s up to 8400 rpms in first. now i got a injen intake and i pulled my exhaust off and i can take it to 8500 rpms. it is faster. try it and see what happens.

just because you pull the exhaust doesnt mean the rev limiter would change...

well i dont know about u but it did work for me,u have seen the amazing specs of the NEW i-vtec. so anything is possible. all i can say is that i can take it more into redline now, dont know why, but i can,so when ur shiftin at 8000rpm im still gonna be pullin.lol

Rev the **** outa that thing boi thas wha dat dum revlimita is fo u aint gun bend no valves or nottn. Specially if u gota stock moto. The thing can prolly hit 8500 all dai long but u aint gun make no power thas the main purpose. dyno says max power is at 7900 i believe so afta that u jes in netural baby... peace

LOL It's not gonna raise your rev limiter!! The tach is most likely out at that high anyway. I know ITR's tachs aren't exact.

I put my aussie type r over the dyno and it was pulling power till 8100rpm in 4th. A manufacturer will never promote going into the redzone, therefore they will only ever say max power is just before the redzone, ie integra max power at 7900rpm.
