pretty simple... most tach has 3 wires..... one to hot only when car is running, and a neg to any ground, and a green input wire that go to the dizzy.... cant rem which wire on the dizzy though.... i know it is the one that is green on the igniter inside but cant rem which one on the outside..... hum???

Or you could buy a gauge cluster from any 88-89 civic/crx that had a tach and swap the clusters. You can even swap over your speedo so you can keep the same miles.

Get an Si tach. No rigging involved. Just remove a bunch of screws.
