Default Got myself a 93 VTEC...

Sup guys.. just wanted to share my joy with you all.. i sold my crx and now i got myself a lude... and have couple of questions if you don't mind answering.. i also searched everywhere to find my answer but had no luck.

1. my antenna seem to be broken and stays up.. some guy want to sell me the whole complete antenna assembly for 25 bones and was wondering is it difficult to install.. if anyone has a pic of instructions from the helms that would be awesome.. (i was also planning on buying those helms instruction on a disc on ebay, you think is it worth it only 5 bucks)

2. i'm getting some jdm head lights as soon as i find a great deal and was also planning on installing some 8000k HIDs along with it.. but the question is does the HID bulbs fit the lights or it must be custom fitted?.. i understand that it uses the H4 bulbs but that's all i know

3. the car have tinted windows but are old and an assload of bubbles.. how much does a store usually charge for it to be taken off and install new ones... 130? i'm guessing.. but i've heard stories that they charge by the hour for it to be taken off

4. car is in immaculate condition but only problem is that it has a rear main seal leak.. doesn't leak alot but you can smell it when the engine has been driven a long period and it's dirty my engine from the burn question is the seal probably cost around 5 bucks and don't know how much installation will be.. but is it a good idea to have it changed while i have a headers and exhaust with custom piping done to it?

Thanx a bunch.. your thoughts and experiences are deeply appreciated.

Don't install 8000k HID's. Your lighting will be worse than stock.

Don't pay to get the tint removed , just take a box cutter and gently peel the tint back from the top of the window.

Also helps to have a bottle of ammonia.

#3 to remove the timt get a black trash bag and a spray bottle with ammonia and water. Cut the trash bag to fit the window. Then spray theinside of the window with the ammonia/water and start placing the trash bag on the window.

Then park the car in the sun for a few hours. After awhile the tint should come off when you peel the trash bag off. Have a scraper on hand to get the few pieces still stuck. Be careful not to scratch the rear window defroster.

#4 to replace the rear main seal you have to remove the tranny, clucth, flywheel, etc. Labor would probably be in the 400.00 dollar range and the rear main seal is like 17.00. You would also want to change the clucth while teh tranny is out. You can get an OEM replacemant clucth for about 150.00 to 200.00

Instead of paying labor, you could do it yourself.

4100k is the best you can get. If you can get an OEM projector setup, even better.

i took off ALL of my tints myself and wasnt hard at all.

all you need is a razor (cheap cheap) and windex. Peel off the tint VERY VERY SLOWLY! use the razor to take off the glue (i didn't have much left on my window because i peeled the tint off REAL slow). If you want, you can spray the windex on the glue and then it just rubs off. just be careful when you do the rear windshield because to the defrost lines (DONT USE THE RAZOR ON THESE!!!)

took me like 40 minutes to get driver + passenger windows, the two lil backseat windows, and the rear windshield. Do it yourself

it is not difficult at all and 25 bucks is not bad either.
