i'm looking at buy a '91 dx sedan. the guy says the bushings need to be replaced. how hard would that be to do myself and mow much do the parts cost?

 

it is a simple one day thing i can do in my drive way or do i have to take the whole thing out?

 

i got an extra set of es shifter bushings left over from this weekend. instant message if you want em. the bushing on the tranny takes 10 min if you're good. The one under the shifter kinda sucks. it might take an hour.

 

i'm anything but a tranny guy... if someone could explain what exactly is wrong and where it is it would help me a lot.

 

which bushings are you talking about? the shifter and linkage bushings? if so they are not hard at all. I did mine in about 25 min. You can do it in your driveway.

 

well i drove the car a few days ago and the stick is stiff and its harder to find put it into gear.

 

i was told if it was the one under the shifter i would be able to push down on the whole thing and i didnt notice that but like i said before its just really stiff.

so how do i fix that and how much are are the parts?

 

could anyone help a kid out?
