Make sure you got fluid in the clutch system. When its dry, the clutch pedal will go down and stay down. Sounds like a leak somewhere.
the exact same thing happen 2 me when i had my cd7... it ended up bein the slave cylinder or the master cylinder i cant member what one it was...luckily its not really expensive
i could help you.. but youre gonna have to specify the year and model. Since the DA is a cable tranny and the DC is a hydro tranny.
Judging by the pedal layout and the symptoms you have.. it sounds like a common problem with the cable tranny. First thing i would check is the clutch cable.

look right next to the brake master cylinder, there is a smaller cylinder there for the clutch fluid. make sure you have fluid. you most likely have a leak. have a look at the clutch reservoir, and look in the area under the pedal from inside the car as well as by the slave cylinder.
btw how come you dont have the rubber pedals on the actual pedal? your foot can slip off if its wet.

check your fluid resevoir for fluid. its located against the firewall in the driverside part of the engine bay. its on the top of the compartment right against the fire wall. you'll see two fluid resevoirs, its the smaller of the two. if its low, fill it up. if it does the same thing (goes back to the floor and wont return, sometimes takes a few minutes for all the fluid to leak out) theres a leak somewhere. start by checking the easy things, the cylinders. the slave cylinder is on the front side of the tranny... you'll see hydrualic lines attached to the top/front side the tranny, then a little thing that pushes a bar, thats the slave cylinder, if its leaking (any fluid leakage around it) then it'll need replaced. from that pic, i didn't see any fluid leaking down from the master cylinder, which is located on the firewall right near the top of the pedal assembly. if both of those dont leak, follow the clutch hydraulic lines, theres a rubber line near the tranny itself, sometimes it splits from dry-rotting, you'll have to replace that if thats the case.
good luck
good luck
i just filled the fluid with dot3 fluid and still has the same problem
but i will let it sit for a couple of min and try agian

If it worked fine earlier today and now suddenly it doesn't, my guess would be the slave cylinder took a dump, time to replace it.
completely agree with patrick, the same thing happened to my LS, one morning jumped in from last night and the pedal slammed to the floor. Same symptoms as yours. I had to replace my slave and master cylinder. Not expensive at all.

w/ my old lude (very old, 88) one clutch line dry rotted and it just ripped one day... i had already replaced my slave and master cylinders, then the pedal did like yours again, found it was a dry rotted line. i know a 95 isn't that old, but hey, it could happen

True, but is there a cable on the 94+ trans? I would think not, maybe

Your problem is the clutch master cylinder when out. You'll need to buy a new one, and then bleed the system properly. You can see the fluid running down in your first picture. Also the fact that you're missing paint on the back of your clutch pedal (and the paint that is left if bubbling) is kinda a dead give away that the area has been wet and leaking fluid for a while. Don't just refill it and bleed the system, it may fix the problem for a short time, but you need new parts. Go buy them and get it over with. Also if you are feeling like doing the job REALLY right, go ahead and get a new slave cylinder too just to be safe. Considering that both the master and slave cylinder have the same amount of use on them, it's probably only a matter of time before your slave cylinder goes out too. Might as well replace it while you're at it.
ok fixed
i have to push it down harder and it goes up way faster, but **** at leats my car is fixed
i have to get used to it agian but its fixed. i replace master/slave and bled the system and pumped it for liek 5 min

Ok I had this problem in my old eg si... I replaced the master cyl. and it still had the same problem. Once taking the trannie off we found that the actual clutch plate was pierced by something so I had to get a whole new clutch. I also replaced the slave cyl. while I was at it..... I hope you didn't have the same problem that I had... my car was stuck in 3rd gear and I had to get it towed down to the shop.
