Ok, have anyone tried to race evolution 8 with an integra?

well I did tonight, I was driving on the right lane on this road and this black evo 8 shows up next to me, and it seems like he think he have such an awesome car and so he wanted to show off the power. Of course I didn't want to be destroy so I speed up really quick, but he kinda speed up and at that very moment I saw the power of the evo 8 turbo engine, however I still beat him on this road, but I think he just let me. The road is like 35mph and i was going 80mph against the evo.

even know i was ahead, I know that the evo can destroy me anytime.

I have a GS not GSR, but I think that my GS is very speedy.

so tell me your experience about the car you raced anyone.

I dunno if a GS could take an Evo8. That thing has a lot of power. As stock its
0-60: 4.8 seconds
1/4 mile: 13.3 seconds @ 131.3 mph
Though I don't really know how an Integra runs. I haven't had a chance to really test mine out.

 

unless you have a pretty good amount of $$ under that hood u dont stand a chance nor do i against that hoes evo,

unless he just got that car and already destroyed that weak *** clutch

 

I played around with an Evo once, i was on a 2 lane highway and we were going like 70 just dicking around and my girlfriend tells me to look over and there were cops on the other side of hte median with speed guns looking at us laughing. Long story short we both punched it when we saw the cops over there and i was left way behind. But once i have my turbo in i hope to give an evo a run for its money.

i raced my friend that has an evo8.. was about 4 months old when he got it.. did a 45mph roll and left him, then came a turn, i slowed down to about 90mph, he keept accelerating on that turn, lost control did 6 spins before he slammed into a wall.. he said he was doing about 120 on that turn.. but from what i seen those cars arent all that..

 

no way in hell can our integra's or mildly modded ones come close too evo's.I raced one with my old civic and it seemed too pull like 30+ cars on me,and the civic was about as fast as a gsr.

I'm not sure where you obtained those 1/4 mile numbers for the Evo. That trap speed is quite high for a 13.3s et.

Anyway, the Evo will destroy the Integra. Yeah, I'm sure there's some shining example of "A Little Integra That Could", but that's not the norm.

On a lighter note, has anyone heard about Mitsubishi reneging the warranties for Evos that have been entered in any racing competition, SCCA Solo II included? Apparently they are searching the web for race entries as well as vehicle modifications to void warranties.

80 on a 35mph street huh? i admit i speed but 80 on 35 mph street is alot hah.. idiot.. a type r beat a evo 8 once but that was 60mph roll on freeway

 

maybe evo's are like sti's and aren't as good from a roll. But I highly doubt you beat him if you're a stock gs. My friend raced an sti in his gsr the other nite from a roll and actually own. I was driving behind and couldn't believe my eyes. He couldn't believe it happened either nor could the sti driver.

 

the gsr blackfire is talkign about...i beat so i would beat an sti...**** all those guys who buy fast cars liek evos and srt4's...

evo let you win...No way a GS could hang at any speed or stop.

 

EVO wasn't racing, waste of gas for him. Unless he sees a front mount he probably won't even try.

 

maybe..but give him a couple seconds from the roll and he'll destroy you


i've still never seen anything like an STI launch at 5k....a thing of beauty really

 

actually that Type R race was from a 40 mph roll and the R had quite a bit of mods:

6.5lb flywheel
4.95 final drive
2.5" exhaust
JDM header
and the usual

but still for the way underpowered Type R to beat it that is impressive for me anyway.

BUT a GS beating one, maybe that was a regular Lancer with EVO badging cause there is no way, or like they said above the EVO was prolly just f*ing with him and didnt want to waste time on an Integra.

Trust me I wish Integra's were as fast as an EVO stock but the EVO is in a bit of a different class than an Integra. The STI's, EVO's, are in the Z-28, Trans-Am class speed wise. Integra GSR or Type R's with lots of mods will get in that category pretty easily but you have to have deep pockets.

Hm... something about this bothers me. Your GS is speedy? Maybe it can beat stock civics, or stock... um... SLOW cars, but I have a weird feeling about this story, and I call BS until I see further proof of a GS beating an Evo.

 

on quarter mile its possible but it all depends on the driver if the evo driver is really dumb and dont kno how to drive.. it is possible .. but if hes gud and plus u only got GS hahaha ill stay u can at least a lil if u got a japan spec R.. i see video of type r vs. s14 and r smoke s14b 1/4 mile....

 

I now remember why I don't look at the Integra forum anymore....
