Default which one would you buy......

here are the mods for the GSR, with AEM EMS fuel injection computer. Modified. Cleanly installed, tuned great. Dynoed 232whp/157wtq on 6psi. Forged pistons/rods. ENGINE MODS INCLUDE: 11:1 CR forged CP pistons, eagle rods, wiseco rings, tool steel wristpins, blueprinted clearances using honda bearings, Jackson Racing supercharger at 6psi, prodrive oil pump gear, arp head studs, endyn catch can,AEM intake, kamikaze headers, 2.5" custom exhaust with carsound high-flow catalytic converter. PERFORMANCE ELECTRONICS: AEM EMS 30-1010 computer, TechEdge wideband oxygen sensor, completely tuned with o2 feedback enabled (helps gas mileage greatly), DSM 450 cc/min injectors with resistor box wired in. Battery relocated to trunk. Autometer Vac/Boost and Air/Fuel gauge in cluster bezel. SOUND SYSTEM: Kenwood KDC-MPV619 mp3 player receiver, MTX Thunder 4202 amp bridged into 10" Infinity subwoofer in sealed box. ALL ELECTRONICS are cleanly installed and invisible from the outside; amp is under passenger seat, Techedge is under driver seat, AEM EMS is in stock ecu location. SUSPENSION/DRIVETRAIN: ACT XTSS upgraded clutch, exedy flywheel, kuhmo tires 205/50, Neuspeed SofSport springs, Koni Adjustable shocks, Skunk2 front camber kit, ES motor mount inserts. Integra Type-R rear sway bar, with reenforcement kit. Skunk2 Rear strut tower bar. Rear Trunk brace. I WILL INCLUDE the laptop I used to tune the AEM EMS and front bra, at no extra charge. Car was completed this past Jan, laying down the above numbers on the dyno. The torque curve is flat as a pancake.

mods with the type r,
DC SPORTS HEADERS,ICEMAN COLD AIR INTAKE, TRUE CARBON FIBER HOOD, APEX CAT BACK EXHAUST & MORE.

just curious so i can settle a debate with a friend of mine.

I like the GSR, but I must...pick...the...tyyyyyppe...R. Dammit, I wish I had one. The R will hold it's value better, and though faster, I wouldn't pick the GSR if I had the choice.

I dont understand why the previous owner of the GSR put in 11:1 pistons and a supercharger. That's pretty high for forced induction.

Except for the insurance the Type R would probably be better, cause it has less mods theres a smaller chance of the mods being improperly installed and things like that. Both of those are low mileage for a honda though....

I'd pick the Type R simply based on the fact that it has not been modified much. I'm sure the GSR in question has received quite a beating during it's modifications.

Too much hype around the type R. The boost alone would make me want the GSR. The only thing you don't get is to be able to tell people "I have a type arrr y0."

the only reason i say hype r is cuz the mods... 11:1 cr with turbo... that fool prolly had no idea what he was doing... unless he just had mad money to tune... and unless you do to... go with the type r. plus there is much room for improvement
