mine read 20 at idle on stock LS but when you would push in the clutch with the car in gear it would drop to 22

 

do you think having my guage plugged into a vacuum mani will throw the readings off??? im reading like 15 at idle and im about 8.8 comp.

My buddies 8.5:1 CR d16z6 with that zex cam pulls 20-22 at idle. I'm at 19-21 at idle on a 7.8:1 CR motor. The camshaft makes the biggest difference in idle quality. VTEC motors can get away with a lot in that respect.
