Wich OEM seats should I get for my 97 Civic EK?
Hey guys. I have a '97 2 door DX coupe and these stock seats aren't worth crap. I love racing seats but this is my daily driver and I need to get into the back seat, so I'd like something reclinable. But I'd like something with more side bolstering than these stockers for the corners. I found some 99-00 Si seats for $110 that I'm really interested in getting, but is there much of a difference between the Si's and my Dx's other than color? And the Si seats will bolt right into my Ek right? Seems like the Del Sol seats are the best but pretty rare to find...
Thanks for any advice and oppinions!

dont' waste ur time with Si seats. they are the EXACT same thing as ur dx seats except for a fancy headrest.
Get del sol's if you can find em, or get some integra seats. None of these seats will bolt right into your car. But a simple swap of the rails will allow it to bolt right in.

I installed them in my EJ8, and I absolutely LOVE them!
Swap the rails/slider assembly from your Civic seats on the del Sol seats, and you're all set. Everything bolts together like stock, so there's no modding necessary. The only "modding" you'll need to do is rebend the slider wire, but if you have some pliers and arm muscle, it's easy.

I have 94 teg seats in mine, they fit great. I even have the back seats with a few mods. I got the back seats to match perfectly(the flip down parts) by switchin out the metal frames in the seats. But if you put the seat cushion on you will have a gap between the the back rest and the cushion.
del sol seats are awesome
here is my how to on the install

I sat in prelude seats....they grabbed my body alot better than the del sol seats. I'm not a big guy though, so if you are... del sols might be better.... I'm only 5'7 and 135 lbs

Yeah, that's a good point. The reason I went with del Sols over GSRs is because GSR seats are too wide for my body (5'5" and 150lbs). I can sit in my brother's GSRs and still move laterally. With the del Sol seats, I'm literally HUGGED by the side bolsters. So check out a few seats before deciding. And I'm really glad I decided not to go with GSRs. I know I wouldn't have been as happy if I did.

Actually, difference between your DX seats & Si seats is more than just different colors. You can move your seats forward/back & adjust recline. 99-00 Civics, including Si, had additional adjustment by means of **** on side of seat. I don't remember what it did.
If I were to change my seats, I'd go w/ pair from Integra. Those have adjustable lumbar support.

PS: If you're looking for Del Sol seats, black w/ red stripe is most common, & therefore least expensive.
