Default The 3 inch exhaust project.

Here is some pics of my first real welding project, hope you like it.

All the job was done by me and my friend at my home. The car was on stands...of course a lift would be better for our back loll. I used a MIG with gas for the welds. Im not a real welder but Im getting used to... We had some problem at the end... we didnt have enought bends... so we had to cut some angle directly on a straight tubing but it give a nice result.

So we used 304 SS with a Magnaflow resonator I didnt put any resonator or catalyser. It sound really good and it doesnt hit anywere !!

Well we are really proud of our first exhaust and hope to do another one one day

Thanks for looking !

no problem at all... when I was taking my mesurments I lifted the tire with a hydraulic jack to see the clearance... I have more than 2 inchs over the axles when the car is on the ground

all of the Thermal 3" exhausts for Hondas i've seen go over the axle.from my measurements when i was going to build a full 3" exhaust, and from the couple of 3" Thermals i've put on,there's plenty of room there.

Good job man. I just got done with a similar project. I have an electric welder though and the welds dont look quit that nice. I used a kteller 2.25 pipe with a magnaflow muffler and a dynomax resonator. My only problem is it sounds like a stock exhaust but just a little deeper. I was kinda hoping it would sound different but at least it doesnt sound like angry bees.

Cheers,
Dan
