Default turbo mani help

can anyone suggest a place in bay area california that will build a turbo mani for a decent price, not looking for anything crazy like a full race or love fab sidewinder, just something that will work. had an ss autochrome and it cracked like a mother. to be honest, if some one new a shop that could copy that mani exactly but with better metal and welds that would be awsome, wouldnt have to reposistion anything.

we have these avail and yes the cracked on us as well. we use the Spark's and its in SS and is stronger. We can also make you one if you would like, but for a street car the has alot of vibration and is driven daily you will have cracks on any header unless you make a support bracket

can you explain the support bracket?
and what are your thoughts on flanges that are seperated.. and not one solid one?

i can understand the vibration thing, but the motor only has 800 miles on it and all the support brackets broke off and the collector welds are about to go also. the car isnt daily driven so thats why i was hoping this would work

As far as the support bracket goes you need to make a "brace" that supports the weight of the turbo this way you are not inducing stress inot the manifold.

My suggestion mount to the block or head

A brace isnt a piece of rod from the turbine flange to the head flange either

The support needs to be on the turbo it's self, do to the weight. Something off the block ( like ac mount ) to the turbo flange, thats how we do it. It has seemed to help alot - I will try and post some pics tom.
