Default Wierd no start problem

II have a 1993 civic Si and it has bubbles in the coolant so I was looking at the spark plugs for signs of burning coolant thinking it needed a headgasket. I forgot to connect one of the spark plug wires back and started the car. It ran a little rough so I immediately shut of the car and saw I left the #4 plug wire disconnected. I connected the wire but now the car wont start. It has no spark. I want to know what kind of damage could i have caused from doing this and also are there any other distributors compatible with my car because I have one from a 19992 civic LX that I can use.

Have you checked if you're getting spark to the spark plugs? Have you checked ANY of the ignition components?

check your ignitor and coil, they probably went bad. and i don't believe you could use the lx dizzy on an si because the mounting bolts are a different pattern. what you can do is take the ignitor or coil out of the lx dizzy and put it in yours.

checked the ignition and I am not getting a spark. Checked the ignition system as advised in the hayes manual. All of the plug wires resistances are within specs. The cap and rotor were dirty I replaced them with new one and still no start. The Distributor is getting power and and The ICM tested out ok..THe specified primary resistance at for the primary at 70 degreesis 0.6-0.8 ohms. mine was 1.2 ohms at 90 degrees. The Secondary resistance spec is 12.8-19.8k ohms . Mine checked out to be 10.33k. So I am left to believe it is the coil but I would like other opinions.
