car doesnt rev past 5k rpm

car doesnt rev past 5k rpm
so i had the sol out today, was kinda hot/humid(90-ish) and i pulled out in front of car that was doing about 70
so i floor it, as soon as it hit 5000 rpm, the car just fell on its face, no power at all and would not go past the 5000 mark
the plx was showing around 10.5:1 a/f
what would have made it do this?

check your setup, m/b you're running in safe mode. I had it happen to me when one of my stupid 450's injectors was loose. It could be so many things that trigger safe mode, check if something is wrong.
