Damn it, a couple of days ago they oiled my road... I was washing my car today and found specs ALL OVER, and simple green won't take them off. I'm thinking I'll need a clay bar.
I never used a clay bar before, but all you have to do is keep the surface wet and rub in 1 direction, right?
Any other suggestions?
And coming home from work, I had corn in a box and the corn juice got over my passenger seat. I'm a bit angry about that, and I hope it doesn't smell later on. Well, its only about 1 inch by 1 inch, but I'm drunk so that can be bigger....

Go search the posts on cleaning Alcantra (our synthetic leather). Use water only, quicky, and blotting, not too much rubbing. It will come out. Corn is a simple starch -very easy to remove with water alone.
You may have to use bug/tar remover, or denatured alcohol to melt the tar. I have that problem too. Follow up w/SG, clay, and wax after.
Yes, you must lube the clay. Don't drop it either. Once dirty from hitting the ground, it's done. Some break it into 3 small pieces to make it easier to handle.

yep make sure you keep the surface lubed up at all times. If it gets dry the clay will do more harm then good. Go back and forth the same way the wind would flow if you were driving, so front to back-back to front etc.

If it's a dirt road, it keeps the dust down.
