i saw a thread around here a few months ago about how to set the right milage on a jdm cluster, but i cant find it. i am selling my car, and i would like the milage on the gauge to be correct. yes i know it wont be for long, but this is just for the purpose of selling it. if someone knows where the link is i would very much appreciate it. thanks

yes it would, but at least i could set it to where i know it should be accurately. then its just a simple milage on the gauge/2.2 to get the actual milage. see what im saying?

 

take it apart. In my friends del sol while getting the b16 cluster, taking out the clock and putting his boost gauge in its place, I set back his mileage to his original Si cluster. Ill take pics when i get over there again.

Don't know if the JDM clusters work the same though.

 

i know the thread your talking about and i can't find it either, but then again i'm in a rush right now. it's the one where he converts the kilometers to miles but then he forgets that the cluster measures in kilometers, so his conversion was useless. or something like that

 

Here's what I did to my LS cluster when I put it in my friend's Civic to match his mileage. Basically I popped the needle off, then took the gauge face off and manually turned back the mileage. The dials will turn with enough pressure. What you are doing to slipping a tooth on the dials when you turn them. So, if you JDM cluster reads "103450 km" and you want "67450", start with the "1" and turn it to "0", then the "0" and turn it to "6", and so on. It took me about a few minutes to match his mileage instead of turn the odometer back the long way.

To calibrate your speedo needle, before popping the needle off, slip it past the dead stop pin thingy so that the needle goes the other direction. It'll rest somewhere at the bottom of your gauges. Once it rests, use a pencil and mark where the gauges end up. Use a fork to pop the needle off. When you are done with everything, point the needle where you made your mark and slip the needle over the dead stop pin thingy again.
