Check Engine light on 2000 accord ex
My 2000 accord ex with the VTEC engine was running about a quart of oil low. I put one in and after driving roughly 20 miles, the check engine light comes on with an abrupt loss of power. AFter have the codes checked at Autozone, is came back with 1259 immobilizer to pcm signal error and 1456 Fuel tank temperature sensor circuit malfunction. I took the gas cap off while running and put it back on and it started running fine afterwards. The light however is still on. I've seen other articles stating how the EVAP canister may have a faulty valve, but I've never had any problem out of my system. The car does have 105,000 mi on it and I've scheduled next week to change the timing belt and water pump. Should I be concerned with the system if I turn the check engine light off and it doesn't come back on?
