LS/Vtec Question
OKay so I'm about to purchase a vtec head for my ls block. I just want to know if the PR3 intake manifold will fit on an OBD-1 car. Because isn't that OBD-0 so some vacum lines might not line up or w/e? Please reply
pr3 is the cast code all the way up basically. 99-00 si might give a p30 cast code on the mani, but i doubt it. if you have an obd0 mani, then you might have to T some stuff off, but you're probably going to have to T a few off anyways.
there's a difference in all intake manifolds from obd0 to obd1 to obd2. they all look different and have different vacuum lines, sensors, etc. but all of the b16 manifolds will work with all b16a heads.
Yes you can use various combinations. You just got to know what you are dealing with. My buddy had a OBD-0 b16 mainfold on his b20/vtec with a brand new type r head in his 94 civic coupe and everything worked fine. but he traded up for the JDM ITR manifold. It will work

95cx, ur in oconomowoc....im out there a lot at like taco bell, would i ever see u or ur friends around. I know theres 2 blue civics by the grocery store there i see all the time.
Heres a new question though
After doing as much reading as I could about the LS/Vtec, before i receive mine on thursday, i came across a site that said B16 pistons were needed because the LS pistons do not have enough valve cleanance for a B16 head. Is this true or will I be okay running the LS pistons?
