the car...left unsupervised
Just got a brand new ep3 hatch. Got a question or two...what's the chances of it getting broken into, stolen, or scavenged for parts and then left in the woods to be identified? Should I invest in an active security system?
If somebody wants to break into your car, it doesn't matter what car you have and what fancy alarm you have. Just get a decent alarm and don't leave anything valuable in the car.
what he said.
i used to goto college in downtown detroit before is was somewhat desirable to go there. i had my window smashed just t collect the accumulating soda cans and bottles on the floor in the back.
save your money on buying an alarm and update your insurance (especially the comprehensive). engraving the VIN on the good parts is a better idea.

if you've got a fancy headunit, anything of value that's viewable, then you're just inviting trouble.
what chances of there of your factory stock car being stolen? practicaly nil. your car already comes with an alarm and an immobizer. what can you do to stop a professional car thief? nothing.
