Default 94 Honda Accord LX

My accord when I turn it over just dies. The only way I can keep running is if I hold the key the max way forward and I rev the gas. If i let it go it just flatlines.

Thanks
Jason

Sounds to me like a flaky ignition switch.

I think its your coil or a fuel or sensor.

The ignition switch is bad. A '95 switch should work, but confirm with the salvage yard just to be sure.

I don't know about the yards in your area but the yards in my area don't know crap half the time. For example, I went to a local yard about a month ago to look for a set of rear seat belts for a 92-95 Civic hatchback. The guy sent me out to the yard saying he just got a white one in and it's right in front on the left. I walked all around looking for this hatch and couldn't find any civic at all. I went back and he took me out there to a ~89 Accord hatch style. I told him no I need a civic, he precedes to tell me they're the same then tries to tell me they have some civics further up front. They had two ~90 civic sedan/coupe and they wouldn't have worked anyway. Then he says we have a couple Toyota Corolla's. I just got in my car and left. If you need to cross-reference parts and interchangeability of the parts then go to your local Honda dealer. They can run a search for that and they will actually give you the right information.

Sounds like the idle air control took a dump. Go to a salvage yard and get one as they are very pricey new. Its located on the back top of the motor next to the injector rail. Will have a wire connector and two small radiator coolant hoses attached to it.

Find a salvage yard that spcializes in imports. My yard had 32 94 accords. Can't go wrong there.... )

Have you checked with the dealership? Those belts should be under warranty for life.
