Default Honda On 19's.

Hello,
I am interested in putting 19's on my 98 Honda Accord. Does anyone in this forum ride with 19's on their Accord??? Also. If I put 18's, or 19's on my car, how much do you think I'll be able to lower it with springs???

Any Info is appreciated. Thanks.

Yo, i have 18's on my 5th gen, and my profile is 225/40, any wider and they would prolly be too big. I dont know about 19's on a 98 accord, but check your clearances under the wheel well and make sure that the tire size you get will fit.
I couldnt tell you how much you could lower, but eibach springs are the way to go. Their sportline series lower about .5 in all around more than their prokit, which is about 1.2 all around, not every applictaion is the same but those are good numbers to start with.

I have 18's on my 97. Lowered 2.2" with no clearance issues. I just had to bend back a little of the metal on the inside of my quarter panel so that the upper contral arm will clear. It is pretty tight though. I don't think 19 will fit without some fabrication.

Stick with 17's or 18's, 19's are way to big for daily driving purposes.

Go ahead with the 19s man. Just have some money put away for new shocks, dynamat spray for all the stuff that will rattle, tylenol for your headaches, cushions for your seats, and health insurance for your bad back in a couple of years.

Low profiles is The Life!!!

I had 18's on my 01 and I had it lowered with H&R sports and it did not rub with 225/40/18. You could do the same with 19's but it would be really close to touching I would think.

you can do it. I got a 2000 v6 on 19's. tires are 235/35/19 on 8.5 wide rims. lowered 1.5 with eibach prokit. the rims are about 1 inch from being even with the fenders. overall smooth ride for 19's on such low profile tires
