Power Door locks do not work on the rear doors
Hopefully this is a stupid question, when I unlock the doors using the drivers side auto-lock only the front doors work. I did check to make sure that the child safety switches on the rear doors were off, the windows do work though. Any suggestions
Hmm...
I can't answer the question, but mine are also in a similar shape. I've got a '99 LX.
A couple of years ago the back locks started acting like they really didn't want to go up or down (not enough "juice"), they got worse until now they rarely work. Then the front locks started doing the same thing. As it stands now, when I hit the remote unlock (I installed this a few years ago) or use the auto unlock (holding the key to the right for a couple of seconds), the rear locks may or may not unlock, the other front lock never unlocks.
I'm thinking that there may be a short from when I put in the remote unlock, one of these days I mean to check the connections on it again. Other than that, I have no idea.
Here's my dilemma, I really don't like having the locks like this, but I don't want to take the car to the dealer to have them check it out because it isn't worth hundreds in diagnostic fees to have them figure out what's wrong. So, I've just been living with it, though if anybody has any ideas I'm all ears.

I have a 99 lx accord sedan, and also have the same problem. My front and rear right side doors lock/unlock about 40% of the time, so I have to manually lock them. It's really annoying. This has been a gradually process.
I've gotten some opinions from friends who know a little bit about Hondas, and they tell me that the actuator (?sp) might be out/going out.
If anyone has an idea on how to fix this, (besides taking it to the dealer) please let me know...

I've got a 96 accord lx and my drivers side lock/unlock doesn't work - the passenger side does, however the drivers side just doesn't - any ideas on how to fix that?

if its the actuator, its a pain in the *** i had to replace it once and it took a lot of studyin the damn part before i got it to work, just look at the actuator and hope it goes in, a helms or chilton manual will do wonders in helping.....hondas seem to like to have this problem, its a small part and hard to install because its in the door panel, so someone with small hands would be handy
