where do I get info on turbo charging my car
Everybody is either selling or praising turbos, but how the hell am I suppossed to know which one or what I need to do to my car for turbo? **** does any body know a web site, or something? I dont know whats going on and i would like to do some research before i do anything, any advice or recommendations will be greatly appreciated! I have a 99 honda accord 4cyl, ulevtec, with cold air intake and 2.5 inch all the way thru exhaust, but it's still to slow. help.
For a 6th gen there are kits available already that comes with everything j00 need. (greddy, hks (I think) etc etc). I am sure some of the turbo'd accord owners will chime in with links but search turbo in the accord forum.

I know my car and it's turbocharged. You'll probably want a t-28 or a t3/t4 setup, depending on your preferences. I'd go with Garrett, Precision, or Innovative. I'd skip Turbonetics, they seem to be pretty iffy and come to mixed reviews.
If you have any questions drop me a line and i'll be happy to start yakking.
BTW, VRDrver----
I dropped the GReddy Emanage and i'm just using a basic FMU for fuel tuning and it's saving me even more money

and ur 20? surprising and sad all at the same time
anyways, if you need to research about getting a turbo setup just search for turbo in the accord forum and in the forced induction forum... if you learn the basics and how to create a custom turbo setup and all that, you can easily find it all out by urself and create a beast under the hood, good luck

I'll run hack for now. Right now i'm deciding between a Stage 3 'Bulletproof' Auto transmission upgrade from Level 10 or a plain ol' auto to manual swap and run Hondata...
I like my auto boosting, it doesnt lose boost as bad as a manual so i'm kind of undecided

hey whats up? i saw in the recent topics that you had your car turboed, you said it was custom, so what parts didi you buy and what did the people that you had install it do? don't you have to have your header bored out or some ****?what else needs to be done to your engine before and while the installation, what are some of the factors that make turbo a risky choice to your car? I have a freind that has two cars turboed but he is shady and gets bored with my questions. so heres the deal i want to spend no more than 1500$, and i will have to save for this, so i need advice on what to look for, i never like ******* around with my car unless i know whats going on. my car is a automatic, and to be honest is slow, even with the basics done, im going to check out the 3 brands you mentioned but i doubt the sites will explain to me what all needs to be done, its kind of like reading some different language, so thanks for the advice hit me up later.

I have yet to find a basemap for uberdata for the 6th gen.
I was thinking about the OBD1 swap but there's very little uberdata support for the F series, at least that I can find.
tony d - search and read... there's tons of info on this site already. and $1500 is not very much money to do a good turbo set up with. start saving your pennies.

Question - How well did eManage work w/ your 6th gen auto? Did it give you fuel tuning capability over ignition timing (my biggest worry right now)? Whyd you go to FMU only?
And back to the topic, http://www.homemadeturbo.com or just search on this website for basically all the info you need. For 6th gen accords (98-02) 2 companies make turbo kits for us, FMAX and DRAG (www.importparts.com) , FMAX uses 2 additional injectors ( i think, if I remember right ) and DRAG has bling bling IC piping.... just learn how a turbocharger works, run a compression test, and get $ before you even start considering buying parts for your setup.

Chill out tony, no one is talking trash to you, or questioning your mental capabilities, they are referring to some other dillhole in this thread who posted some incompetent response. So before they start flaming you, I suggest you relax.
