i seen this stuff at the parts store.. theres 2 kinds the road kind and the race only kind with nitro methaine in it. would this do anyting to my car? i just want some good octaine boost so i can clean my valves.

 

if you are looking for power, the octane boost will give nothing and possibly take some away. I don't know if it will clean your valves, you read up on the seafoam threads?

 

i'd run seafoam or water through the intake to clean the valves. or i'd try mystery oil or seafoam to clean the injectors. octane boosts are a joke (usually only boost .2-.4 octane... so you'd come up with 91.2 octane.) best way to increase octane is to mix some race gas in there (but thats leaded and will kill your cat)

 

I used it and its junk. Not worth the $5. Go out and buy some intake/carb spray and clean out your throttle body
