Default Eagle rod/ PR3 pistons combo question

Well, i'm finiding it hard to find myself a set of PR4 rods around my area, not much classifieds.

Now my intentions were not to combine the eagle rod and my pr3 pistons together but my machine shop told me it can be done and showed me a sample of another customers. The guy can do the job. My question is wouldn't it be a bad thing in terms of maybe the piston being heavier than the rod??? I would also imagine the pistons would need balancing as well, since the crank is going to receive it too(rods too since they are balanced already). ????

Those rods suck. I lost a motor when the rod bolts broke. Use Crower Econorod (Erick's spin these to 11,000 rpm).

I def do not think crower is worth what they charge honestly. I've heard sucess stories with eagles spinning to 10.5k no problem, yet again i've seen posts with holes in blocks wit the crowers.

I did say the rod bolts. There are a lot of eagle rods floating out there with those bolts. If you pay for the upgrade, you might as well by better rods that come with the better bolts. Where are eagle rods made anyway? China
