Default Trying to help out the DIYers - TurboEdit Tuning Session @ Boosted-Hybrid's Shop

Official Date is:

OCTOBER 18th

Shop address is:

436 Lefevre Road
Easton, Pa 18040

Shop number is: 610-759-2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,

A few weeks back I posted that I was trying to setup a tuning session for TurboEdit users at dyno and I believe we now have a great chance to set something up with BOOSTED-HYBRID.

Jeff (B-H), the owner has told me that he will set up a day for us to come down to use his Dyna-pack dyno ALL DAY for the modest charge of $300. I figure to be fair we can get 3-4 (maybe more cars) to meet at the shop and get them tuned throughout the day. The more we get the cheaper it gets but I figure 2 hours per car is more than enough time to get a very good tune down on the dyno. The date right now is TBD in early September. I will see what response is like and set up a firmer date once I have the 1st deposit.

I will also ask that I be compensatated a little for my time and energy for tuning and setting this up. I don't ask for any more than $100. I will also be showing everyone how to use TurboEdit...not just tuning cars, but educating you on this great, free software that Jason Parker and the efforts at PGMFI have brought to us.

So if we get 4 cars on the dyno it would be $100 per person...5 cars $80, etc. I posted here as I hope it will get some traffic.

I think that is more than fair. Anyone interested you need to let me know ASAP with a PM. Also post here if you would.

I will be taking deposits of $75 per person.

Let me know what you guys think.

Again this is in Easton, PA so mapquest it and make sure this is close enough to you!

Thanks

Chris

Northern NJ, where at?

I actually have a stock ls, OBD2, but I would love to stop by, see some cars, meet some people, and learn more about tuning. Getting my car boosted in spring and converting to OBD1. Even though turboedit is for OBD0 I would still love to learn tuning techniques.

This is for stricly OBD-0 cars running Turboedit, or wanting to run Turboedit. The day is set-up to help broader the Turboedit users base, and get some more tunes available for the existing Turboedit users.

I tune most major ems systems, if you are interested in having your car tuned or using the dyno facility at a later time I would be more than happy to set something up. The pricing that was given to Xenecron was discounted to help out the DIY guys, this price would not apply for normal dyno usage or tuning costs.

I know TurboEdit guys are lacking out there on Honda-Tech...but I hope to change the trend out here.

Jeff, you don't mind if people come to watch and learn correct? I know the only cars that will be on the dyno will be TurboEdit cars

Guys, take advantage of this amazing offer!!!

It will most likely be a Mon, Tues or Wed...if we want a more prime day of the week (like Sat.) I think Boosted-Hybrid said he would do it but we would have to put out a little more $$$.

Right now I just want to keep it to Mon-Wed and start planning for late Sept, early Oct so we can be a little more organized about this.

I am new to boost, just gathering parts up, and don't know what i want for ems. Basically something cheap like turboedit, so what would i need to come and get it tunned, i know u need a pm6 but i have no chip burner or chips to burn. So basicaly can i drive my car to easton the day of the session and swap out my pr3 swap in the pm6 and people can burn chips or what? I have a vafc with 440 injectors. i can use them to run my car to easton.

Are you running VTEC? I would assume yes since you mentioned the PR3 and VAFC...

VTEC is a little tricky with OBD0 right now...especially if you want to rev higher than 7400 rpms right now...

But as far as any of the tuning tools (chip burner, chips, ROMulator) I have all that crap and unless you plan on making changes yourself (which would be a good idea eventually to learn) you wont need any of that stuff at the tuning session.
