Default coolant seeping out of radiator cap after CTR pistons

guys, after fitting CTR pistons, i noticed that coolant is seeping out of the radiator cap..

after some VTECing, i see some dried coolant stains on the exhaust heat shield, radiator cap, bonnet etc etc.....

i'm using mugen 1.3 cap.

engine temp is fine. could i be running too lean??

Maybe you need to replace the cap. Is the hose tight?
If that does't doit i would cheak the and make sure the head gasket to make sure its not blown or just did't seal when put back together

Could you guys explain to me how a blown headgasket could cause the coolant to come out of the radiator cap?

or, maybe its the muffler bearings

replace the cap with a new one, and call it a day.

wtf... .... noob. hahaha ok.. blown headgasket.. could mean bad seel around the sleeve meaning pressure from teh piston could leak into the coolant around the sleeves.. which pressurizes the cooling system.. which in turn.. cause lots of pressure on teh cap.. and the hose coming out of the radiator.. and coolant would spill out everywhere.. and i know cause it happened to me.. so.. dont be given me **** Damon

I think if it was that blown, your motor would have been killed already to the oil mixing with the coolant.

not true.. i had no oil/coolant mix what so ever.. and i had coolant spraying out of my overflow and ****.. because i had a blown headgasket.. so just cause there is no oil coolant mix doesnt mean your headgasket isnt blown

i say change the cap. if the problem persists( however you spell it) then check the gasket out.

ya i would change the radiator cap first then if you still see coolant spilling out its probablly the headgasket... check your head for warpage too.. But ya you wouldnt notice a drop in hp or compression with a blown headgasket... my compression was dead on.. and i was still putting 180whp down with a blown headgasket ..soo..

interesting. Ive driven the car for the last few days and i havent had the coolant leakage anymore but i have noticed a tiny bit of oil coming from the infamous b sereis leak spot.... you know the one on the dizzy side right where the head meets the block.

If it is an eBay Mugen special, throw that thing in the garbage and get a good cap.. and see if the problem persists.

is your car over heating look at the temp gauge on your cluster if it is then u blew your head gasket and check to see if your exaust is shooting white smoke out and kinda try to smeel it for a unusual smell if its noit doing any of those things try changing ur radiator cap might not be seating properly

an easy way to pinpoint if its a headgasket... take the rad cap off... disable the ignition system so the car will not start... then just turn the car over a few times... if its blown the coolant will shoot up out of the radiator

My car will occasionally loose most of the water/antifreeze in the radiator. I will hear it bubbling and let it cool down. Later when I come out to check its damn near empty. But usually the temp gauge doesn't move up.

I don't have water mixed in with my oil. And no oil in the coolant (last I checked a couple months ago). Though I do have white smoke coming out of my exhaust as the car warms up. So maybe the headgasket is bad. I'll have to try this method to check it out.

Is replacing a headgasket as simple as buying a new Honda OEM part, draining the oil, unbolting the head, putting the new one in and bolting the head down (with proper torque specs)?

do a pressure test on the cooling system that will tell you if you have a bad headgasket you could also have a faulty cap
