side moldings....
i have a 95 accord and the side moldings and lips always look washedout for some reason if i clean them it will stay for mabye a day if im lucky and then they look washed out again. Is there something i can clean them with that will stop this from happening so quickly? It just seems like a waste to spend so much time cleaning them for them to only look good for a few hours. thanks for the help
Yea, armor all works for a little while. You can spray some tire shine on a rag and wipe your moldings. Thats what I usually do. I use Eagle one tire shine. Works pretty well.

for some reason they are jsut like that, even though the ones on my 94 arent washed out looking, so i dont know for sure, but i suggest the armor all firstly, then secondly, get in contact with http://www.accordstore.com and ask them how much it is to replace the moldings...and if all else fails...a junkyard, you never know what you can find there...

thanks for the replys. Also what should i do about the lips? is painting them the best way to go? i have a black accord so they do stick out alot. i was thinking sand, prime, paint, clearcoat will keep it looking nice all the time. What do you guys think?
Meguiars among other companies have a product called back to black or return to black and actually works really well on side moldings that are faded.
Here is a really good write up on side moldings and how to DIY

And this will apply to all of those molding type materials on your car, lip included.

It does, but after a while the shine wears out and returns to that faded look
