Default TODA Spec C's

I'm HIGHLY considering swapping these into jdm sir2 b16a with proper valve springs but was wondering how aggressive the non-vtec lobes were, basically if gas mileage would go down

thanks!

the toda B's and C's have just different vtec lobes.

what compression are you running? i wouldnt recommend running the C's. even the B's are big for the b16's compression.

I have B's in my b16 and ill tell you right now that you cant really worry about peak power.

you need a big increase in midrange and the C's are just overkill. With those cams at 0, 0 and no A/F tuning, you can baseline at 150 peak whp at the dyno, and youll see how hard it is to extract a flat power curve with those cams, let alone with spec B's.

You can do B's, just need to tune, tune, tune and find the perfect cam settings for a strong curve.
FYI, lots of ppl i know peak around 170-185 with B's in a stock bottom b16.

JerseySiPOS, so does your car have good peak power and no midrange?

0, 0 on my cam gears sucked for midrange unless i dropped the vtec to 5800-6000 and dumped lots of fuel. Depending on your setup and where the exhaust cam is, the power will drop at around 8000, 8500, or 9000 rpms. And midrange is strong with the intake cam advanced. this is generally speaking.

im no pro, but i do have this setup for over a year and cam gear tuning is sensitive, at least for my setup.

i would say go with the B's, but i would like to hear a debate on how the best curve for the b16 with cams and stock bottom end should look like for drag racing....and switch points!

I think its relative to the thread. JMO

with C's and stiff valve springs there will be alot of wear on the vtec rocker arms

after about 5000KM on my motor, there is a ditch that can be felt and seen on the vtec rocker
