Turn the key, lights come on fuel pump turns on but when you try to start...nothing, no clicking nada.
I can pop the clutch and it starts up fine and sometimes after that, its back to normal but other times, still nada.
Kicker is once its started and runs after a nonstart episode-(sometimes) after shutting it off and trying to restart nada but if it sits for awhile it starts right up without even kicking the dang thing. HELP

 

First thing to do is check the battery terminals and ground/starter connections. What you need to prove is if you are getting power to the starter solenoid when the problem occurs. A test light will tell the tale. If there isn't power getting to the starter solenoid, the ignition switch could be going bad. If there is power at the starter solenoid, the starter contacts are bad.

 

Something simaler that you have described has happened to me. It turned out to be the starter. It only occurs once and awhile and then when you least expect it doesnt want to start. Has your starter ever been replaced before?

 

alternator maybe?

 

when it doesn't start, hit the starter with a hammer to jar it. if it starts, check for loose & corroded connections. if none, replace starter.
