Default is it possible??

would it be possible to use a regular style intercooler on a JRSC? take the two pipes the come from the intercooler and have them meet into one so it can meet back up to the throttle body??

babbling is my specialty

no, the JRSC replaces the entire IM, it bolts on directly to the engine.

this i know, but what i'm talking about is instead of having a CAI or short ram you could rig up a intercooler like on the 350Z supercharger etc

I'm pretty sure that would do nothing. All the heat that is generated from the SC is in the manifold itself.

the 350z sc does not bolt over the IM, it bolts to the side of the engine. Thus the charged air can be cooled.

i have seen prototype cold-side s/c that had an intercooler as a barrier between the s/c and the head. i don't think this would work on the ep3 with the s/c so close to the radiator and hood already.

when i say cold side, i usually mean a s/c that bolts in place of the stock intake manifold. a hotside would be bolted about the exhaust manifold and has a crossover tube.

here is an interesting coldside application:

Yeah something that sandwiches in between the manifold and the head, or two plenums on a manifold is an aftercooler. I knew some guys that fabbed some up for Tacomas with TRD blowers.
