Default fuel issue

I just got my car back on the road, i blow the old tranny. The setup is a 94 rs with a gsr tranny, stick header, intake, and some mid pipe that came on the car. the problem is i am burning way too much fuel. I put 6 gallons in the car last night and this after noon after driving 100 miles or so, i am just about out of fuel. not i know about 12mpg is way off from what it should be. Also i don't beat on the car much, usally shift around 4K or so.

After making as much sense as I could out of this...some of you calculations are a tad off.

IF, and I stress that word a lot, but IF you drove exaclty 100 miles and used 100% of the 6 gallons of fuel you put in, you'd have gotten 16.7 mpg. While that number isn't a prime figure for gas mileage, it's better than the 12 you stated.

Also, you said you drove around for "100 miles or so" indicating that it was probably more. And you also said that you are "almost" out of fuel, so you didn't use all of your fuel.

I have come to the conclusion that you are not running THAT rich, given the information you stated.

Have you pulled your spark plugs to see what they look like? If so, what did the electrodes and surrounding areas look like? Also, what mods are done to the vehicle that could've aided in a rich fuel mixture?

well, the plugs are brand new. to be correct i put 6 gallons ion the car, the odomitor had around 40 miles on it. now the odomitor has about 112, and i am on empty, so i have burned about 5-6 gallons in 60-70 miles. I don't think that is normal @ all. need help

Regardless of the plugs being new or not, you should still pull them and see if they're fouled. You might also want to check to see if your cat or your fuel filter is clogged.
