To anyone who has ever shipped wheels with already tires mounted...
I'm planning shipping my wheels out, however, how am I supposed to package these things up?
Did you guys purchase huge boxes large enough to fit the wheel/tire in? Did you just get big trash bags and fill it with peanuts? Anyone have pictures of how their wheels and tires arrives after being shipped? Don't want these things to get damaged during shipment...
Thanks guys!

i laughed out loud, and the guys here at the office laughed at me. lol
whenever ive bought tires, they've always banded 2 of them together, and shipped them like that. a friend of mine that got a set of 20's for his expo, got them wrapped up single, but with cardboard on each side to protect it.
if you dont' have those nylon bands, (which only big company's usually do) i would take 2 peices of cardbaord, and wrap the hell out of them with clear packaging tape. it should hold up.

i just went through this, was way more expensive then i expected...i put each wheel into boxes and filled with peanuts...unfortunately i couldnt find boxes to put the wheels in, so i had to pay for ones they had ($10 each
) you should try to ask local rim shops if they have spare boxes lying around, i was lucky enough to get one...

Circle of cardboard over the top rim (if the rims are nice), tape 2 together. Or if the faces don't hit, put them both face-together and tape. GL.
I've received tires with no packing, just pairs taped together.

when i shipped mine off, i put 2 each in a 19" CRT monitor box. i put cardboard between them and filled the box with peanuts and those air poppy bags (for lack of a better word
). Ended up costing me about 90 bucks.
