Default needs advice on tires replacement

I just bought 5th gen accord and it still had it's oem wheels and tires w/c is 195/60r15 . My question is it ok to change the tires to 205/50r15 ?

that's what i'm running right now..no problems..your speedo might be off by like a couple to a few miles depending on how fast you're going but nothing drastic

Isnt' that a shorter, narrower tire? Why would you want to do that? I have a 95 Accord also.

i'd say you'd probably want to go with a 205/55/15 tire. this is more the correct size

it's smaller in diameter but wider

having a tire that's smaller in diameter gives you a lower profile and better handling/acceleration/deceleration characteristics...also some tires are only offered in certain sizes

You could probably go with 215.50s, or as someone already suggested 205.55s. Do some research on the actual tire so you don't get a poc; good tires don't cost any more than fair to poor ones. Does it snow much on Pago Pago?
