S2000 Projector/HID in EG Headlight
Wassup guys, being an EG owner and having stock headlights suck as many of you might agree.
Anyways, i just love how the s2k headlights look. So i'm just wondering is it possible to put an S2000 projector into an EG headlight. I've heard of some people that done it but never seen any pictures. I did a search and it came up hopeless
So i'm wondering if any of you on here have done this to your EG's and could provide some tech for me. I'm very interested in trying to do this so i would appreciate any help possible.
Thanks guys, John

ive seen the taillight conversion onto a civic never the front, I would advise you to not even try... conversions like that usally have alot of bondo and the curves of the car dont really ever match up with the curve of the lights. itr headlights would probably be the most decent on a eg but i think thats one record that has been played out for a while.
He is talking about the projector man, not the entire headlight conversion. I have seen the S2000 projector fabricated into a 1996-98 aftermarket projector, it can be done, it's just it will take some time to do. Now in a EG, it would be best to use a different housing that where the case is clear instead of the fluted lenses of the OEM EG housings. Something aftermarket, with a clear casing, like TYC, it doesn't have to be projector form, but will make the job easier.
Run a search for the HID thread, it's about 20 plus pages long. Search in the EG+Civic/Del Sol forum.

I'm not too familiar with Civics, as I'm more of an Integra/S2000 guy, but I'll try to help.
Aren't there "aftermarket" projector headlights that you can purchase for the Civic? I know I have seen them. Now before you flame me on that suggestion, I know that those cheap aftermarket projector setups are mediocre at best.
I mean to say......mount the S2000 projector setup INTO the aftermarket Civic projector headlight.
Wouldn't that be a lot easier than fabricating an entire headlight assembly or going as far as molding the actual S2K headlight into the Civic front end?
I know there is at least one person here who has mounted a BMW HID projector into an Integra projector headlight housing. So it'll probably be the same idea.
What do you think?

Yes, you are right. They aren't so pretty looking. I have seen black ones, and chrome ones.
But at the same time, since you're doing "custom" work, and since lots of you guys are good at making things look good, it might end up pretty good looking.
I have seen lots of Civics in the Appearance forum with DIY headlights that look DAMN good. Imagine what you/they can do with these "cheap aftermarket setups."

yeah i think it would be easier getting a clear headlight cover and putting the s2000 projectors in because the stock EG headlights have ripples and crap on them. i'm just curious how to mount the s2000 projector into that headlight
i'm not really tryin to get an aftermarket civic projector cause most of them look like *** anyways, so i'm tryin to see IF this is possible

I'm sure someone knows how to do it on this site: http://hidforum.com/
Ok..well here is my .02
I actually have the TYC projectors in black. The projector is not the BEST quality, but I got them for the sole purpose of vision. They are a **** OF A LOT better than the standard EG headlight housing. The bulbs that they came with were bright as ****, and after adjusting them, I'd say i could see twice as good at night. The cutoff was perfect, and they dont look THAT bad. Everyone knocks them, but they look almost identical to the s2000 headlights.
I have also met a few people who put HID kits in the TYC projector lights, and they look good. Not great, but good. Cutoff isnt nearly as clear, and there is a bit of glare, but you are now seeing so much more space, than you did w/ the stock eg headlights.
You can flame if you want, but i'd feel like more of a ****** for driving w/ the OEM headlights on a back road one night and plowing a deer, than to have these projectors and see it and brake/swerve/avoid it. Thats strictly hypathetical, but it can go in any direction..
