i can't seem to find it in my service manual.. i just finished re-assembling my z6, and didn't find out where this goes!!

 

mmm it might go on one of the ends from the coolant tube in the back of the block?

 

looks like the ring on the top of a condom...

 

its a bad pic, but its like 2-3" wide and thick metal.. light brown in color

 

header exhaust gasket, goes between the 2 pieces, should be 2 of those

 

exhaust manifold gasket. goes between top portion and down pipe/collector?

yeah thats more like it.. thought it was a ruuber seal or something

 

i don't think thats it.. because i never took apart my exhaust manifold. ...
any other guesses?
