just out of curiosity , can i temporarily run no dumptube on my tial 38mm ???? will it hurt anything? i gotta put the new setup on to see how the dump tube needs to be made.

The exhaust conming out of the wastegate is exactly that, Exhaust. it will be dirty and stink sicne you're not venting it out of the engine bay

 

not to mention, melt anything in its way

 

When my dump tube broke off (no clue how) I was running with no dump tube for a while. Everything in my engine bay just got black. Even my fuel rail and firewall. Besides that just make sure nothing is in its way that can melt

 

And dont underestimate how hot that exhaust gas is....believe me, it WILL melt things in its way.

 

Drive w/o your hood and you will be supper stright lol
If you dont hit full bost you will have NO problems

In fact, I may have been listening to him the other night just as my dumptube facing the radiator melted a giant hole in the middle of it!

 

Hey, anyone have their dumptube go back as far as under the cockpit? I'm sick of smelling exhaust every so often. Any pics?

people have merged it back into the exhaust right before the cat...

 

i did it and DAMN what a mess it makes... REAL bad... youll have blck everything..lol

 

i ran one time with just like a 10'' pipe on mine and man that crap got all over and stunk bad to, i would always run a dump tube mine exits under the oil pan and pluse i like the open wastegate sound

 

I don't know what you guys smell. I have mine dumping right infront of my left front tire. I never smell anything. Who knows maybe you guys all have smelly cars.

 

I also use to have mine right in front of one of the tires and I never smelled anything either.

 

Mines exits straight down infront of the tranny

 

Here is mine with no Dump tube... the waste gate could not fit a dump tube on there because of the manifold beening so close. I had a rev Hard elbow on there with a rev hard manifold. The waste gate just dumped on the head and manifold and made a mess. I had to put the elbow on there so the wastegate want put a dent in the hood. This was on my old setup. Got a new set up BETTER..lol

 

Depending upon the placement, you could also ruin your radiator after only a few passes. Wait for the dumptube.

mine dumps right where the hood and bumper meets and i have some zipties there and those havent melted yet

the black suit does suck tho

 

it will get very dirty and if there is anything plastic by it the wastegate will melt it when it opens

 

If you are desperate, then just make sure you DO NOT hit full boost and you will be OK.
