Default Compression number question

Say you have a gsr with 10.1
i dont know what compression they yield but lets just say 240

now you take another engine, say a ls, put in some 10.1 CR pistons in there,
would it also yield 240?

is it the same for all engines?

Not the same. It depends on the cams, how much overlap & the valve timing.

Same pistons in another engine might not have the same CR, since it depends on the combustion chamber volume in the different head, & also the stroke. You might need different pistons to get the same CR.

Compression PRESSURE depends on valve timing, overlap, starter RPM, ring seal, & other stuff that doesn't affect CR.
