Default Hoosier Tire sizes for Mid Ohio

Dave Garner from Hoosier Tire asked what tire sizes he should bring to Mid Ohio.

List the tire size you will be using this weekend at Mid Ohio so he will know to include them in the inventory allocated for this event.

Thanks,

Jon

Jon,

I'll be there ! Most everyone in H4 is running 225/45/15's (at least 7 of us run those sizes).

I may need a set for Sunday's race. Secondchoice would be 205/50/15's.

Regards,

I called them yesterday, they said they are out of 225/45/15. Tirerack is getting a small amount in tommarrow (wed). I'm going to South Bend to pick them up.

I'll be running 225/45/13 on my H5 Civic. Hopefully won't need a set this weekend, but I haven't been on track at M-O since they ground the apexes this spring which I have heard hurt tire wear a lot.

I instructed at a school April 23rd and they had just done it. I'm not sure of the exact date but it was right before that.

Also, I've had 5 lapping days at Mid Ohio this year and I'm just not seeing this excessive tire wear people are talking about. Maybe back in April but I haven't noticed excessive wear lately.
