Default Need some input! Planning to do first swap!

wsup all... Ill be doing my first swap ever and was wondering if I could get some input. I got a quote from JDM Inc. from Montreal for a 97 B18C1 comes with transmission, engine wiring harness, all cables required, ECU, distributor, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, power steering pump, alternator, AC, all brackets and sensors, axles and shift linkage for $3,190 shipped. is that a good price? Does anyone have a better place for me to grab a motor? What else would I need to do the swap to a 96-00 civic hatchback? any inputs would be cool.. thanks all...

That seems like a reasonable price to me. I beleive you would need the rear L bracket and the driverside mount and bracket from an SI.

u will need a rear mount out of a civic si. you will need vtec plugs if you do not already have them. there are a couple other plugs that may be a little different that you will have to scavenge from other people ($5 each tops). as far as motor prices go, usually if you buy them from a realiable buisness the motor will be fine, ull just end up paying more. I found mine on ebay and called the guy and talked to him. he sounded legit and had papers and receipts for everything. the motor already had civic mounts, 20,000 miles, magnecore wires, tranny, shift linkage, shifter etc. and i picked it up for $2000 but for whole swap. I just got around to turboing and installing it and damn it pulls. but check in the classifieds on this site. im willing to bet for $3200 you could find someones gsr swap mildly built with at least some new pistons and rods.
