Valentine one excells in nearly every category. I have an Escort Passport 8500, and it works well too. According to Car & Driver it's second only to the V1, and outperforms it in rear detection. Get one or the other. Anything else is a waste of money. Personally, though the 8500 works fine, I'd rather get a V1. You can upgrade it. And yes, they're worth getting. Saved me more than once.

If you don't ever think about it, you are responsible or are a very good driver. Or both.

If you need one, you should not be driving that fast.

And what does this have to do with preludes?

i bought one for 40 bucks from walmart and its saved me from probably 5 tickets in the past year. Cops know when you have radar when you jam your breaks on as soon as they hit you, something you have to realize about radar detectors is, you cant let your gaurd down, they're not foolproof, cops sometimes dont use radar, or hold the trigger and let go at the last moment, if your behind a car too closely it wont work, stuff like that, your not invulnerable by any means.
