what are the symptoms of O2 sensor going bad?

 

It would probably throw a code before anything. but i would think it would run rich or lean depending on what voltage signal its sending to the ecu

 

yai know its code 65 but im not throwing ne codes. its just my car is running or idling bad now. read post i posted about it to learn more info

 

poor driveability w/ iregular idle and bad gasmileage are common symptons... along w/ a CEL

 

Yea I barley past my emissions and I get poor gas mileage, I'm gonna assume its my o2 sensor. Anyone know how much they run?

just picked up a bosch at advanced the other day... 4 wire honda universal (OBD1) it was just shy of $70.

 

i have a used OEM o2 sensor that I can sell...pm me if your interested

 

my car seems to get bad gas milage and smokes heavy black when i get on it and sometimes bogs out like it is running really rich but no check engine light......could this be O2 sensors as well i am thinking it is and how much for GSR obd2 97???and is there 2 sensors or just 1.....

how often are u supposed to change your o2 sensor? Every 30k,60k,90k,etc.

 

sensors aren't maintance items, you change them when they go bad.


i think those symptoms you described were all o2 or map related. you could even have something choking the motor up. try changing the air filter.
