if you can find the EX internal and trasfer into your DX yourself, you might have it cheaper... but like I say you can find an good EX or SI tranny for less than $200 already!!

Sure, I thought I bought one with a slight grind for $150, and when I took apart the tranny a few months later, 1st thru 3rd gear were toast! You need to be careful who you buy tranny's from, since if it seems to cheap, there is probably a reason.

I used that toasted tranny as the core when I bought by GearSpeed tranny! http://www.gear-speed.com

It was $1000 to rebuild the transmission with carbon coated synchros, painted trans, etc. I paid an extra $100 to have my Kaaz LSD installed. Full warranty on it too! I didn't pay that much for it though, since my mechanic's shop does mark up parts for me, I just pay what they pay.
