Last night , my maintenance required light started blinking. The car has 12,400 miles on it. I checked the manual and it dosnt say anything about the light turning on at that amount of miles. It did it at 1500 miles but it states that in the manual. Should i be worried. Or is it just a honda thing , to get me to go to the dealer?

 

I believe the manual explains the light goes on after so many miles if it is not reset at the maint. intervals. My guess would be the 7500 mile maint did not get re-set. Therefore, the car thinks you are 4500 miles past the time for maint and the light blinks.

 

Actually i remember reseting it at 7500 also.

 

Just stick your key in the slot, take care of that problem if you aren't due for any scheduled or "required" maintenance.
