i have a 90 accord lx automatic car with a shitty motor but runs, i have a 89 crx si motor 5 speed tranny that only has 128k on it. now both the valve covers say 16 valve motor and they look the same are they??? can i put the crx motor in the accord and bolt the auto tranny to the motor???? any info would be great
i think the accord uses a f22 motor. crx si is a d16a6 motor.
look on the front of the motor, near the dizzy.. below the dizzy you will see a stamp. d16a6 for the crx si and f22 something for the accord.

They are different and what you want to do will not work without some serious fabrication and welding to make new motor mounts and an adapter plate to bolt the auto trans to the d series block. The accord is an f series motor and the civic is a d series motor. A rule of thumb is d series parts only work on d series motors and f series parts only work on f series motors.
