looking to buy a 92-95 civic....my plan is to get to mid to low 14's in the 1/4 mile the cheapest way possible. Should i get an EX for the vtec? Or can i get a vtec head for a dx (d15)...need to know quick because im selling my old rusted out crx today.

 

get a 92-95 Si hatch, 1.6 SOHC VTEC yO! best to turbo it!

 

if u wanna go fast get a cx or vx....a hatchback. An ex is the heaviest model. You can always slap an EX (d16z6) head onto the d15 block.

cheapest... buy a CX and swap it! why 14's? why not 13's

 

14's prolly because i cant really afford any more....my original plans were to get a 92-95 ex, Y8 head, intake, headers, exhaust, cheapest turbo i can find...

 

well... ur plans sound fine to me then. if thats what u want.

 

but i dont know anything about turbo....is there an alternative to buying a 3000 dollar kit....?

 

buy a used turbo, piece together ur own kit. check the classifieds on here. go to the Forced Induction forum also, they are where u should be asking turbo questions at!
